February 28, 2006 -- THAT fans of "Arrested Development" can relax. Word is Showtime not only picked up the canceled Fox show but also ordered 26 more episodes . . . THAT David Chass - the Upper West Side trader…

I hope this is true, I've loved this show since the start. Too bad it didn't quite catch on with everybody....with this going to Showtime and the Sopranos starting soon on HBO, I might need to give Comcast a call to upgrade pretty soon!
Fantastic! Hope it's true, the NY Daily Post isn't known for getting facts straight all of the time, though.

This is the best news I've heard in a long time. Especially that it's Showtime...Apple just added Showtime to iTunes which means that you won't even have to subscribe to Showtime because you can just get every episode for your iPod the next day.
I hope this is true. But I'm leery because I thought part of AD's brilliance was at hinting at things to get around the network TV sensors. They were forced to be extremely clever and I hope they don't lose that edge now that they are faced with no barriers.

Ctrain's got a good point, but I for one really like vulgarity so bring it on, hopefully still cleverly.
Oh, don't tease us so! Rumor this, rumor that; all I ever want to hear next from this is "Arrested Development" picked up by [network name here].
Maybe, just once, someone at a cable network will get it right. Arrested Development was one of the best written and performed shows on TV. Fingers crossed
